Warped Lure.
I finally signed the lease, wrote the check, and sealed the deal for my first apartment. It's exciting inspite of the fact that is my very own! It's my dream apartment- 800 square feet, two walk-in closets, the works! The apartment building allows pets also, so I plan on buying a new dog or cat or some type of domestic animal. I recently went shopping for furnishings and bought a few necessities. I went to Ikea and bought a French style kitchen table and chairs set; while trying to load my purchases into my vehicle I stumbled across a problem- it didn't fit! Being the stubborn girl that I am, I took the table out of the box and had some English guy help me load it into my trunk- it stuck halfway out of my trunk and was clearly not safe. Determined, I had a friend of mine wedge himself into my trunk and hold onto the other end of the table so it didn't fly out onto the freeway. I guess it was really hot in that trunk and to his luck there had been a crash on 694 which had traffic down to one lane- which meant it took us an extra 45 minutes to get home. Needless to say- I got my furniture home in one piece- in one trip.
I had a photoshoot this morning for a sporting goods company. I had worked with them before and had had a large poster board displayed in a Sportsmart- in the photograph I am wearing a pair of my friends yellow shorts- I wanted to bring her in and say "Hey look your shorts are famous!" Afterwards, I played golf (Full 18.) I didn't do so hot this time and I'm not sure if it was the wind or my 3 inch heels... When I got home I had my friend try and teach me DDR- oh god I looked like I had ADD or had consumed some psychotic combination of drugs. We had some dinner at my house and then played historical trivia games. (And if your reading this remember it was Edward the first, and the first woman racer's nickname was Cha-Cha!)
A couple weekends ago I went to the Warped Tour and had a decent time- I actually went home wanting to become a rock star. I met a little rocker with a European accent and great style who was in a skateboard competition- defined perfection. I went home thinking I'd marry him...
